The UN General Assembly designated 5 June as
World Environment Day (WED) in 1972, marking
the first day of the landmark Stockholm
Conference on the Human Environment.
Through decades of WED celebrations, millions
of people from all over the world and from all
sectors of society have taken part in
environmental action.
This year’s theme – Go Wild for Life –
encourages you to celebrate all those species
under threat and take action of your own to help
safeguard them for future generations.
In Geneva, various events are planed to celebrate WED, on 2, 3, and 6 June:
Environment Quizz (2 June - 19:00)
Roundtable (3 June - 10:00) & Reception
Eldora Menu Spécial (6 June - déjeuner)
Film Screening (6 June -12:10)
